This temporary role is to provide maternity leave cover for a minimum of 8 months.

As a member of the field marketing team based in London, this role is responsible for planning, managing and executing the public relations programme for Dolby Laboratories' in the EMEA region. The main responsibilities include planning and leading proactive PR campaigns that support the marketing and business objectives of Dolby's business.

This role will manage communications with the media and develop good relations with press across all areas - national, trade, consumer tech/tech, broadcast, consumer lifestyle.

The role will work closely with all EMEA - based marketing team members and the global PR and social media team in the US to develop and execute campaigns and to ensure alignment on strategies and objectives.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Manage and execute PR activities in EMEA including developing plans to support business and marketing goals
  • Work with PR agencies in EMEA markets to drive PR and social media activities
  • Complete timely reporting and measurement for PR programmes
  • Manage a successful internal communications programme which ensures that all staff are well informed of corporate and regional activities
  • Provide PR and social media support for Dolby's regional management and marketing teams.

Media Relations :

  • Provide relevant and accurate communications from Dolby to the media to support business and marketing goals
  • Establish and maintain a database of media contacts to support Dolby's business areas
  • General press office management, responding to media queries in an accurate and timely manner
  • Develop good media relations with key press to support Dolby's goals
  • Provide media support and gudiance for Dolby spokespeople

Industry Relations:

  • Work with Dolby's licensees, broadcast, cinema and e-media customers and partners to maximise PR opportunties and Dolby's visibility. Plan and excute joint PR initiatives with third parties, while adhering to corporate policies on third party announcements. Build relationships with third parties to raise Dolby's profile within the industry.

Knowledge:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven management experience in Public Relations, ideally with a company or companies that have an international presence. Public Relations experience with a recognised brand would be an advantage.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills; with first rate copy writing and organisational skills and an interest in technology
  • European language skills would be an asset
  • A successful track record in a PR agency environment would be an advantage

Abilities:

  • Proactive, creative thinker with initiative and the ability to work to deadlines in a team environment without direct supervision
  • Ability to work with both technology-focused trade media and consumer lifestyle media

PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular European and occasional international travel.
