For one of our Key Clients we are urgently looking for a senior security engineer to join a contract to hire (deta-vast)position in Rotterdam.
Description
Working on a team responsible for the design, engineering and implementation of security services across a global environment. This position requires strong IT security experience; mentoring and leadership skills; as well as an understanding of security risk for a variety of different areas as well as specific technologies, configurations, and/or process changes to address identified risks.
Responsibilities
*Design, configure and support IDS/IPS, VPN, Content Filtering Solution, and Firewalls
*Build and support security related infrastructure systems
*Assist or lead various security related projects
*Respond to trouble tickets, perform troubleshooting on perimeter security devices
*Ensure security tools and solutions hardware/software/devices are operating optimally
*Develop and maintain operating guidelines and procedures in support of corporate policies, standards and guidelines.
*Determine appropriate levels of security configuration, controls and monitoring.
*Overall central management of firewall and web filtering solutions
*Incident ticket queue prioritization and resolution
*Develop and maintain diagrams and documentation as appropriate
*Support incident management processes and security monitoring alerts
Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 7+ years
*Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
*Hands on experience with Cisco firewalls, Checkpoint firewalls, Juniper firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls
*Hands on experience with Microsoft ISA, Microsoft TMG
*Hands on experience with Websense, IDS/IPS systems
*Extensive experience with routing protocols and concepts
*Experience with site-to-site VPN tunnels
*Extensive experience with the development and implementation of security policy enforcement tools
*Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite; advanced subnetting and network address translation
*Understanding of information security concepts, protocols, "industry best practices", strategies and able to advise on process improvement
*Experience working with business units or non-IT departments helping to develop or implement security strategies and solutions
*Excellent documentation skills
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Ability to work in a team environment and as an individual contributor
*Experience supporting high availability solutions in large complex environments
*Strong ability to multi-task and work effectively in a distributed environment
