Copy Writer/Communications Manager
London
6 months initially

Our leading banking client are looking for a Copy Writer/Communications Manager to join their internal changes programme for a 6 month initial contract.

*Strong copy writing skills, with the ability to write clear, succinct and engaging copy and content
*Checking all copy is accurate and grammatically correct
*Excellent communication skills
*Experience of writing materials for an internal audience online and offline, including newsletter articles, blogs and success stories
*Can quickly extract information, whilst understanding the internal dynamics of the organisation to develop compelling copy, with clear end user benefits
*The candidate needs to be confident in writing and editing all manner of internal communications content, with accuracy and speed
*Good Microsoft Office skills will be required, for example, creating word templates, working off existing word templates, creating PowerPoint presentations to support articles. The candidate will need to use SharePoint and Connections sites, training can be given on this but a basic understanding of blogging and how online content works (including hyperlinks) is required
*The candidates main responsibility will be to source, write and project manage articles for newsletters. This will mean they need to be able to work alone and be a self starter. Content will need to be written from scratch, the candidate will need to manage and obtain internal signoffs, create and produce the internal newsletter, and will be responsible for distributing this and maintaining the distribution list. The articles will need to be repurposed for other areas of the business, the candidate will need to establish relationships with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure distribution to the widest audience possible
*The candidate will also work with the senior comms manager to write emails to support the launch of new technology. The candidate needs to be able to easily identify and translate technological benefits to an end user, and work with other internal teams to create links to training and supporting documents
*Other duties will include - reviewing and editing existing programme communications and materials to make sure they're up-to-date, engaging and grammatically correct
