IFRS 9 Programme Director - Phases 1 & 2

We are looking for an experienced Programme Director that can take ownership and drive forward a IFRS 9 financial instruments change programme within a Retail Banking client. You would be joining at an early stage so experience of mobilising the IFRS 9 programme through phases 1 & 2 (Classification & Measurement and Impairment) is critical.

Experience of delivering IFRS 9 change programmes is a major pre-requisite for this position.

DESCRIPTION

*Act as the Programme Director to drive the IFRS 9 Programme forward
*Be the driver of change across the a number of key areas such as Regulatory reform, Cost Reduction and Risk Transformation.
*Creating & managing a team of experienced Programme Managers, Project managers and Business Analysts
*Willing to lead quality delivery, develop innovative offerings and thought leadership to overcome obstacles
*Oversee deliverables such as Process Design to Technology implementation.

REQUIRED SKILLS

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate an exceptional track record of:
*Engagement delivery: leading the delivery of highly complex IFRS 9 programmes (a minimum of Phases 1-2) and large projects drawing in multiple parts of the firm, including planning, managing and executing the delivery of engagements or projects, including responsibility for the review and quality assurance of deliverables
*Providing subject matter expertise in IFRS 9: operational implications of regulatory and accounting change
*Risk management: identifying and managing risks
*People development: hiring and mentoring teams of Programme Managers, Projects Managers & Business Analysts
*Strong knowledge of IFRS 9 and its impact on Banking operating models, across people, process, technology and data
*Oversee the design, build & implementation IFRS 9 Target Operating Models
*Defining requirements for new solutions and assets to support the IFRS 9 proposition
*Candidates should have excellent Retail Banking finance knowledge (including interactions with Risk functions)
*ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA is preferable
*Willingness to travel, when required
*Extensive experience in running large Finance Change programmes
*Considerable knowledge of Finance data, systems and tools and Finance processes, in particularly accounting processes and/or reporting requirements
*Strong influencing skills
