Description
We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on designer to join our team that has a reputation for creating world-class projects across many mediums: from branding and product design to printed and digital artifacts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong perspective on storytelling and design, as well as desire to experiment with their craft and inspire others along the way.
As Senior Visual Designer, you will be expected to work alongside our Creative and Strategic teams to concept, storyboard, prototype and design a range of ideas and deliverables. This role requires an individual who is highly collaborative and confident, with an imagination as developed as their communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Concept unique ideas to express and explore the potential of new-to-the-world products, brands and services.
Design and craft brand identities, product concepts and other consumer experiences.
Clearly convey ideas, concepts and the value of design to internal teams and clients alike.
Work collaboratively and independently to solve complex problems and find creative solutions to client objectives and requirements.
Mentor, manage, and recruit design team and inspire a deep, creative culture.
Execute and lead original concepts for short-form films, animations and case studies.
Listen actively and be an effective communicator, in writing and in person.
Enjoy shipping small, quick experiments to validate your ideas and opinions.
Be unafraid to have your opinion changed.
Give and solicit feedback from others in order to continually raise our bar for quality.
Qualifications:
An outstanding design portfolio showing a clean, modern aesthetic and a passion for visual narratives.
Demonstrated mastery of tools.
Proven examples of conceptual thinking in storytelling, illustration and interactive.
Experience working collaboratively with strategiests, directors, technologists and executive teams.
Be driven by innovation and creativity.
Attention to detail and passion for your craft.
5+ years as an Senior Designer or Art Director within recognized creative agencies or organizations.
Bonus Points
X-Acto knife skills + handcrafted art and objects.
Strong camera work and comprehensive knowledge of camera, lighting and studio equipment.
Artistic pursuits in any medium.
