Description

Purpose:

To manage the overall development and delivery of Protection and Mortgage Club Marketing Campaigns, Promotional Materials, Communication Programmes and Events for the Legal & General Network, to support the Legal & General brand, achieve business targets and ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to.

Principal Accountabilities:

1.Assist with the planning, scheduling, implementation and delivery of promotional materials, communication programmes and marketing campaigns to support the achievement of business targets within the Legal & General Network.

2.Support the production resources, including agencies, mailing houses and the print provider to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of marketing materials.

3.Be able to manage specific campaigns and production process by:-
a.Establishing communication requirements for campaigns and promotional
i.Literature
b.Ensuring briefs are produced to specify design and layout of material.
c.Management of relationships with agencies and suppliers.
d.Interpretation of L&G Brand Values in all communication materials.
e.Delivering cost-effective materials
4.Support in actively driving improvements for the marketing and communications activity across Legal & General Network marketing.

5.Maintain a good knowledge of the financial services and the mortgage and savings market place, and a good understanding of Legal & General's product range. Keeps abreast of regulatory rules and ensures all material is compliant.

6.To develop and maintain strong internal (L&G) and external relationships with product/service providers and the publicity team, to ensure integrated marketing activity that is relevant, effective and supported.

7.Treating Customers Fairly (see below.) Develop and deliver Legal & General Network marketing and communication activity that meet the needs of our customers and is in line with Legal & General's Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly Policy.

Knowledge:

Experience of Marketing B2B
Basic knowledge of the Mortgage Club and Protection proposition.
Up to date knowledge of all mainstream intermediary marketing environments
Some experience of business commercial decisions
Knowledge of Financial Services marketing desirable, and regulatory requirements ie DDA
Experience of analytics and measurement
Agency experience

Skills:

Writing/copy experience.*ESSENTIAL*
The ability to analyse data and identify trends
Problem solving skills to work through challenging scenarios
Excellent planning skills are required
Able to use own initiative and make judgement based on both fact and intuition
A good track record of teamwork and the ability to influence key stakeholders

FINANCIAL SERVICES (banking or insurance) EXPERIENCE IS ALSO ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE
