Description:
  • Position Overview: Perform technical analysis of manufacturing processes to support management decisions
  • Design/direct the acquisition, design, fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, develops solutions, and monitors improvements
  • Monitor all exchange and in-house requirements
  • Procure material related to manufacturing improvements through external suppliers
  • Perform quality checks on machines
  • Analyze and deploys engineering change notices
  • Establish and maintain bill of materials and work orders
  • Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements
  • Provide day-to-day coaching duties in absence of team leader.
  • Working with planners and CI Techs (Continuous Improvement)
  • Review engineering changes
  • Review blueprints
  • Manage budget for the group making sure no overages
SKILLS:

Required:
  • Bachelors Degree in a Manufacturing Engineering related degree
  • Prefers GPA of 3.5/4.0 or better, minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment and thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Familiar with and able to use Yamazumi charts to balance production lines
  • Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.
  • Able to communicate effectively with people on the line as well as Design Engineers
  • AutoCAD experience - 2D
  • Working knowledge of Standard Assembly tools and their applications
  • Ability to train on Standard Work and SOPs
