Description:- Position Overview: Perform technical analysis of manufacturing processes to support management decisions
- Design/direct the acquisition, design, fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines
- Troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, develops solutions, and monitors improvements
- Monitor all exchange and in-house requirements
- Procure material related to manufacturing improvements through external suppliers
- Perform quality checks on machines
- Analyze and deploys engineering change notices
- Establish and maintain bill of materials and work orders
- Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements
- Provide day-to-day coaching duties in absence of team leader.
- Working with planners and CI Techs (Continuous Improvement)
- Review engineering changes
- Review blueprints
- Manage budget for the group making sure no overages
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in a Manufacturing Engineering related degree
- Prefers GPA of 3.5/4.0 or better, minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment and thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Familiar with and able to use Yamazumi charts to balance production lines
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.
- Able to communicate effectively with people on the line as well as Design Engineers
- AutoCAD experience - 2D
- Working knowledge of Standard Assembly tools and their applications
- Ability to train on Standard Work and SOPs
