I am the candidate consultant for contract mechanical engineers in the North of England.

A long term contract opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with Site Survey experience has arisen with a key client in Sheffield who manufacture Nuclear mechanical handling equipment.

The company:

A well established local firm who are experiencing continuous growth and are building an excellent reputation in the Nuclear industry. They have recently won a further project with AWE which has resulted in a need for multiple contractors.

The role:

You will be performing site surveys to support the engineering analyst team. The first two months will be largely spent on site at AWE, the contract will be for a minimum 6 month term.

The candidate:

Will have experience conducting site surveys and understand the manufacturing aspect of mechanical engineering. A knowledge of steelwork is preferable but not essential Ideally applicants will hold SC/DV clearance but must be at least eligible.

The offer:

The contract on offer will be long term and a competitive rate of around £20-25 per hour. The client are flexible to allow a 40 hour week to be done in 4 working days and are situated in a comfortable modern office next to their manufacturing facility.

We have interview slots available for Thursday and Friday morning next week.
