My NHS Client is currently looking for an interim Service manager for a period of 7 months.Leading a children's community serve the post holder will be required
- Provide specialist children's nursing care, advice and support in negotiation with the child and family / carers to meet their individual needs.
- Actively engage and encourage the involvement of service users/carers in the planning and delivery of care.
- Undertake complex nursing procedures within own competency and provide training, support and supervision to children and parents/carers on complex nursing procedures to facilitate self-care.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of the service provided by self and other team members through clinical audit and participate in research initiatives as appropriate.
- Actively represent the community children's nursing service on multi-professional / multi-agency working groups supporting and influencing policy development.
- Deputise for the Clinical Service Manager
A minimum of one years' service management in the NHS is essential.
