Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide ICT advice and/or professional services to both internal and external clients.
  • Install and maintain hardware and software on physical and virtualized Windows networks
  • Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis and performance tuning
  • To provide operational support ensuring KPIs and SLA are achieved.
  • May lead on the delivery of specific components of a project.
  • Write and maintain documents geared to effective and accurate communication
  • Share expertise with peers.
  • Occasionally provides on the job training to other team members.
  • To support the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.
  • May involve liaising with internal, external and third party suppliers.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • engineering/science degree or comparable IT qualification/accreditation
  • 5+ years senior level Windows Systems Administration experience - Windows Server with Active Directory design and maintenance
  • 3+ years SQL server experience - setup, administration, troubleshooting and performance tuning desired
  • User Support/Help Desk duties required as part of the position - 3+ years prior experience desired
  • Active Directory/Group policy experience specializing in the configuration, maintenance and administration of MS Exchange, Active Directory Architecture and related technologies (Exchange )
  • Experience of managing virtualised infrastructure
  • DNS & DHCP Implementation and Administration.
  • Established experience in enterprise Citrix/XenApp infrastructure
  • Netscaler experience
  • Websense experience
  • AV experience in products like Trend, McAfee, Sophos
  • SCCM
  • ITIL training or certification
  • Formal vendor training to professional certification standards, eg Citrix, MCP, MCTIP, MCSE, Dell, HP certified systems engineer etc.
