A fantastic opportunity awaits with a fast growing company in Central Reading as they are in the market to find professional and enthusiastic Senior IT Support Technician.The ideal specialist will be joining a successful and highly regarded team in the IT Department with the contract length being initially provisioned for 3 Months.
The daily rate will be paying between £150 to £200 per day which will depend on experience.
This role will require the Senior IT Support Technician to have the following experience and skills:
- Good level of understanding of a Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment
- Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the major Microsoft packages namely Microsoft Windows and Office
- Good level of understanding of TCP/IP
- Good level of understanding of a virtualised computing environment, preferably VMware
- Good level of understanding of backup strategies and technologies, preferably Symantec Backup exec or Veeam VMware backup
- Current IT qualification, preferably Microsoft, Cisco or VMware. Or be able to demonstrate the equivalent experience and knowledge
- Experience of working in an ITIL aligned environment
- Excellent business communication skills, with the skills to communicate at all levels
- Be able to demonstrate excellent problem management skills
It is highly desirable to have the following experience and skills:
- Advanced understanding of physical computing environments including, physical servers (preferably HP), SAN technology (preferably EMC Clariion with Unisphere) and networking (preferably HP Procurve)
- Expert level of understanding of the latest Microsoft Exchange technologies
- Advanced understanding of LAN/WAN technology
- Experience of modern telephony systems including VOIP, preferably AVAYA
