IT Operations Manager

£400 to £500 per day

6 Months - Contract

A market leading client of Computer Futures are seeking to find a professional and enthusiastic leader to join a successful team of dynamic IT Specialists within their offices based in Central Reading.

Due to the business growing and landing multiple client projects, the restructure will involve and require an IT Operations Manager.

This role is technically hands-off but it is preferred to have the applicant to have a technical background in order to understand and advise all members of their daily responsibilities and business operation.

Key Responsibilities & Skills;
  • Responsible for the operational service relationship with key customers.
  • Ensuring (on a daily basis) that provision of IT services and support (e.g. incident and request management) meet the customer's needs and expectations.
  • Managing the current Operations Team, consisting of Service Desk Manager, 3rd Line Engineers, 2nd Line Engineers & 1st Line Engineers.
  • Organise, and manage customer services staff in the delivery of an effective customer service desk.
  • Experience within Change, Problem & Incident Management.
  • Experience within Compliance / ISO27001 & Information Security.
  • Technically hands-on background within Infrastructure - Server Infrastructure (Windows), Virtualisation & Networking/Telephony
  • Experience within Service Management, IT Transformation Projects & Capacity Planning.
  • Experience of managing SME level environments (i.e. 1000 users).
  • Able to develop and arrange good process procedures.
  • ITIL & Prince2 qualifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Desktops i.e. 7 or 8 and Mac Technologies.
