Next Ventures are currently exceuting a search for an experienced L 2 Wintel support

Overview

In this role you will take responsibility for providing 2nd Line Infrastructure Support across a Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare and Citrix.

Your responsibilities and duties in this position will include but are not limited to the following:

Resolve support issues escalated from first-line support

You will be top line of escalation internally with complete ownership of 2nd line technical issues and liaison with 3rd party clients and external vendors

Support and administer technologies including Windows Server , Citrix Xenapp, Exchange, Active Directory

Account administration of all core office systems

Problem solving PC/Server hardware and OS issues

To Assist and complete operational tasks, data management, incident logging, reporting, systems monitoring, systems testing and disaster recovery as require

Ensures that appropriate standards are adhered to, providing technical support and undertaking technical project work.

Provide training and guidance to junior level staff.

Follow the ITSM process including Knowledge Management

Experience/competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong team player

Problem solving

Ability to take ownership of problems and see them through to completion

Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment

Industry standard certifications

  • Good familiarity with the ITIL framework
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams with a focus on delivery in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work cross functionally to meet local and corporate goals.

Demonstrable expertise in managing:

  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • SCCM/Altiris or similar software
  • Microsoft Operating Systems and network technologies
  • Microsoft Scripting and group polices
  • Microsoft Exchange administration and maintenance

Detailed knowledge of:

  • Industry standard desktop applications
  • Knowledge of Windows Server
  • PCs, laptops, printers and peripherals

Nice to have:

  • Proven ability in a similar support role in a mission critical environment
