An exciting contract opportunity has become available in the Cost Management team of one of our leading Banking clients.
The Finance Manager in the newly formed Migration team will work with a wide variety of people across the organisation to ensure that the migration project budget is controlled and well managed.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Working with change and functional teams to define budgets and forecasts for all migration costs.
- Developing a planning model to capture project forecasts, linking with the central planning team
- Overseeing the Migration spendwise unit approval process
- Running the monthly reporting process for migration costs
- Reviewing and signing off monthly journals
- Overseeing balance sheet (including intercompany) reconciliation of migration postings
- Providing insightful month-end commentary
- Developing a rolling forecast process in conjunction with project managers
- Identifying and effectively communicating risks and opportunities to the plan
- Supporting the central project team in identifying and realising on-going costs and benefits
- Contributing to business case development
- Providing ad hoc analysis and updates to a range of finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Supporting the development of the to-be Finance cost model
- Line management of one assistant manager (also a contractor)
To succeed in this role strong excel modelling skills, experience of building new processes from scratch and attention to detail are essential.
The successful candidate will also:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Have previous SAP experience
- Be a logical thinker and have a proven ability to translate complex information into a concise story with clear conclusions and recommendations
- Have experience in analytical finance roles
