Description
IP Formalities and Business Manager required for Government sector client.
Essential Experience:
Delivery of accurate, consistent and timely professional/administrative support in a relevant environment either in the public sector, science/engineering research or technical consultancy.
Use of iCAS
Desirable:
Previous experience/working knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP)
The role:
Manage all National and International patent agent contracts, monitoring in year spend against limits of liability, arranging contracts and their renewals and initiating the payment process using iCAS;
Manage Patent Database system
IP Support and Communications
Provide professional IP advice, tailoring this advice accordingly to Function/Department staff and share this knowledge;
Champion IP, raise awareness and plan communication activities within the organisation ensuring actions are delivered in agreed timescale.

Coordinate Payments
Delivery Communications across Intellectual Property Group (IPG) Business Support/Team Lead
Develop and implement risk management, identifying issues early and implementing migration actions;
Co-ordinate the reporting of IPG performance, supporting the preparation of business performance reports and business plans.
Co-ordinate IPG budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring in year performance against the budget, identifying issues and proposing appropriate actions;
Conduct and deliver IPG business reviews looking into business support, team resourcing and capabilities;
Responsibility for IP audits;
Coordinate with the BCS Ops Manager with implementing changes to corporate initiatives and corporate records management requirements by providing group level information.
