The Client
Our client, a national charity are recruiting a Finance Business Partner, based in London, covering one of their four localities (ie the London region) and also providing some support for the National income generating team. The post will support 100+ projects ranging from £20K to £6M per annum; with a total annual revenue budget of £15M.
The Interim Assignment
In addition to the standard management accounting functions of budgeting, reporting, accounting, reviewing and forecasting, the role involves working closely with the service delivery teams compiling bids and tenders for new work as well as reapplying for existing funding. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with operational teams as well as advising on financial aspects of funding bids. The role will be to partner and support Contract Managers and local teams with the responsibility for overall financial management of these operations and future planning/budgeting.
Success will be defined as improvements in budgetary and financial management control within the geographical area, improvements in successful bidding for contracts and grants (subject to being able to deliver within budget,) improvement in compliance to audit reports and a delivery of projects in time, budget and quality
The Interim Manager
Applicants will be CCAB qualified and will have 3 or more years' experience of operating as a Finance Business Partner at management level preferably in charity sector. Applicants will also have experience of managing financial aspects of funding bids and tendering processes, experience of managing change programmes and an understanding of finance and accounting, legal and regulatory environments.
