Senior Buyer - IT/Software License categories, Procurement, Bank, Brussels
Background:
You will join the bank's Procurement Department which is built around Category Managers and Buyers, supported by Market Analysts. The objective is to manage procurement contracts within different categories using the procurement department's methodology and negotiation techniques for IT (hardware, software, licences etc.).
Tasks: A review of all licensing metrics of all software agreements and a mapping of dependencies inside the IT infrastructure.
Categorization of contracts;
Inventory of metrics and right of use definitions;
Preparation of scope changes in view of new business models that are under development;
Preparation of negotiations and impact analysis if required;
Negotiation with vendors to implement the changes and buy new licenses where appropriate;
Communication with stakeholders and Procurement management
Skills:
5 years experience in IT Purchasing/Software License/IT infrastructure or similar domain;
Strong negotiation skills;
Understanding of contract and legal terminology.
Language: English (essential) plus French or Dutch (not essential but nice to have);
