Description

My Client is a Central Government body, looking for an interim for a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have experience with public sector procurement processes, strong experience with commercial/contract management, experience and knowledge of sourcing life cycle including requirements capturing, pre-market engagement and contract award and strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.

Key Accountabilities:

- Lead and manage multiple commercial and contract management/procurement activities simultaneously, with responsibility for all aspects of the Client's contract management process/sourcing life cycle including requirements capturing,
pre-market engagement and contract award
- Support Procurement Managers with the gathering, co-ordination, preparation and delivery of information and ad-hoc reports
- Support Procurement Managers in responding to information requests from Departments
- Deliver the role in line with department Service Level Agreements, the Client's processes, central policy and current EU legislation
- Ensure accurate records management throughout the commercial life cycle, in line with good practice/audit requirements
- Identify the root cause of any operational and process problems including implementing appropriate resolutions

Essential Experience Required:

- Previous experience working within procurement in a commercial environment and of carrying out procurement exercises
- Experience of building and managing relationships with customers, and internal stakeholders
- Experience of working in a team or project environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at a variety of levels
- Able to manage the delivery of multiple activities in parallel, identifying and resolving potential delivery conflicts in advance
- Experience of researching markets, emerging trends and customer requirements

Skills/Capabilities Required:

- Good understanding of procuring or managing contracts in context of EU regulations
- Experience of designing and delivering commercial or procurement related learning and development activities.
- Experience of project and programme management tools and techniques.
