Senior Finance Analyst - 3 months - Coventry - Negotiable Daily Rate

A leading Energy and Utilities client of Hyphen is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join their site in Coventry as part of a National lighting Project.

Job Summary:
* Delivery of planning and reporting across Highways Lighting - delivery of monthly finance performance processes that provide comprehensive insight on the Highways Lighting business, to improve performance. Maintaining an effective financial control environment through the use of multiple systems, processes and people, across a multi-site environment
* Developing analysis, interpretation and communication of actual performance against financial plans, using a sound knowledge of the business and its project pipeline, and working closely with multiple stakeholders across the business.
* Preparing financial forecasts, informing business strategies and decision making. Provide insight and analysis for gross margin, controllable costs, capital expenditure and FTE, and operational metrics.
* Initiate and develop improvements to the reporting framework. Develop, agree and monitor operational performance metrics that help the business management team understand and optimise performance.
* Work flexibly to create different scenario positions to help identify different forecast/plan outcomes to assist with meeting top down targets.
* Implement efficiency changes in the reporting process, and work with the business to enhance information feeds to finance.
* Produce comprehensive KPI reporting, covering financial and operational measures, building finance as a strong controlling function.
* Work to optimise the relationship and support from the accounting centre service provision to facilitate the month end and other process cycles.
* Pursue and develop the opportunities to streamline the accounting and reporting from implementing improvements in systems.
* Work highly collaboratively with the other team members in the New Business central finance team and business/finance leaders in creating a well-controlled, highly effective commercial environment with regards to financial processes and systems.
* Working with multiple finance systems and understanding of differences between local reporting systems and main group systems.
* Responsible for planning and reporting for joint venture entity and liaison with relevant third parties (in addition to clients main fully controlled operations).
* Full analysis and steering of business risks and opportunities.
* Providing a visible presence at multiple sites across the Midlands and Northern areas, partnering the site managers to improve business performance.
* Ensuring the month end accounts appropriately reflect business performance in this operational business which has a high transactional volume and complex PFI contracts with local authorities
* Responsible for providing insight on the Highways Lighting business financial performance forecasting, reporting and financial controls

Industry Qualifications:-

Fully Qualified Accountant or equivalent by experience
