Description
Contracts Manager/Supplier Manager with extensive NHS experience required for 3 month contract with government client in SW England.
Essential Experience:
Current experience of contract management negotiating a large acute hospital contract
In-depth knowledge of the NHS contract and its levers for provider management
Strong negotiation skills - the contract portfolio is £1billion, and providers are in recovery
Strong knowledge of constitutional targets that providers need to be meeting and of GC9 in relation to recovery action plans
Claims management, issuing challenges to providers for activity that we will not pay for
Key Tasks:
You will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the South West of England.
A Matrix approach is adopted by closely working with the team pharmacist, service leads, and finance and information colleagues in the effective negotiation and management of contracts and the implementation of strategies and policies.
Manage the interface with acute providers and CCGs for all aspects of contract negotiation and performance and undertake the supplier relationship management function.
