Description

Negotiator - ISDA Documentation
6 months - Canary Wharf

* Becoming a key contract negotiator to the Prime Services Business (PS) supporting the Dublin Prime Services Legal Entity Project (LEP) working within the General Counsel Division.
* Establishing excellent working relationships with the PS Front Office, LEP program staff and ensuring close coordination on an intra day basis.
* Negotiating/repapering the full suite of Prime Services documents for PS clients including prime brokerage terms, ISDAs and related annexes and other related agreements.
* Supporting the PS Front Office and the LEP team in working to tight timelines, ensuring consistency of approach in documentation by coordination with other members of shared services that support PS Business and working closely with the legal subject matter experts covering PS.
* Being able to work under pressure and to tight timeframes, to prioritise work and do what is required to help support and maintain the PS Business and its client relationships
* Interfacing and building good relationships with other key areas of CS and stakeholders such as Client on Boarding, Credit, Risk and Business to ensure their requirements are reflected in transaction documents.
* Applying the highest standards and principles at all times and challenging others where required.
* Upholding the strategy and vision of CS and working towards its implementation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Experience within a major investment bank or top tier law firm in prime brokerage and ISDA documentation (although related areas and lesser experience may be considered).
* Desirable to have qualified lawyer with relevant in depth experience gained from a previous in-house role
* Have current knowledge of the products requiring support (which is essential) and a good understanding of industry developments affecting them.
