OS 365 Migration Engineer
12 month contract
Alpharetta, GA
$45 W2 - $50 C2C
OS365 person must be flex with schedule as they're doing migrations 24/7 nights and weekends. Will make sure their schedule always adds up to 40 hours though.
Must have large scale migration and OS365 support experience (meaning a min of 5k users or more)
Strong Windows Systems Admin and engineering background skills
Strong Active Directory
Client has 50k users.
Must have exposure to automation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
6+ years progressive technical experience in a multiple operating system hardware and/or application platform
3+ years of solutions integration or systems engineering experience on significant and highly complex projects.
Demonstrated project lead experience in organizing, planning and executing large scale projects from conception through implementation.
Specialized Technical Skills: (Advanced technical and development experience in one of more disciplines required)
Enterprise level support experience of a large scale Office 365 deployment and/or migration is required.
Demonstrated experience in implementing and supporting large scale global Windows Infrastructures and end user computing platforms.
Extensive hands on experience in Windows systems engineering, administration and support of devices and Servers.
Hands on Windows troubleshooting skills required with Server platforms such as 2003, 2008/R2, 2012/R2 and client OS such as Windows 7, 8 and 10.
Strong hands on knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 messaging & collaboration platform and components (ie. Exchange Online, One Drive for business, Skype for business and Azure Active Directory Sync (AADS)
Strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Active Directory 2008/R2 and 2012/R2.
Experience in group policy & user profile management.
Understanding of globally dispersed, tiered & scalable applications, highly available clusters, load balancers and enterprise class storage systems that meet 7 x % availability objectives.
Excellent Scripting skills required with PowerShell.
Desired Experience:
Enterprise level experience in managing LANDesk for clients and Servers is a huge plus.
Experience with Automated user and server provisioning tools, Active Directory migration tools and identity & access management and single sign on solutions in a huge plus.
Experience in Microsoft System Center Suite (SCCM, SCOM) is desired.
Experience with Yammer and SharePoint is desired.
Detailed understanding of global wide area networks, private and public cloud computing technologies and converged infrastructure is desired.
Other Information
Position requires on call availability and carries cell phone.
Candidates must be able to work on adjusting shifts in support of global projects that span multiple time zones.
