Senior Finance Analyst - 6 months - Warwick - Negotiable Daily Rate
A leading Energy and Utilities client of Hyphen is looking for a Commercially focused Finance Analyst to join their team in Warwick in order to assist the business with Financial Analysis and Process.
Job Purpose
To provide analyst support Electricity Transmission Finance Business Partner team and will involve:
* Process mapping, redesign and implementation
* Excel model development
* Actual vs. budget variance analysis
There is also expected to be a level of ad-hoc support provided based on the topical priorities of the ET & CD FBP team.
Experience Required
* Ideally a qualified accountant or finalist
* Proven accounting experience and commercially minded
* Skilled in Financial Modelling
* Broad range of financial or management accounting experience
* Broad knowledge of mainstream financial systems, business activities and commercial environment
* Strong communication and analytical skills
* Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement
* behavioural/leadership qualities (see below)
Key Tasks
* Support the investment paper process by inputting quality NPV analysis
* Attend investment team meetings to understand the options for an investment
* Steer the investment team to ensure the options being considered are appropriate
* Understand and quantify costs associated with an option outside of the initial investment costs
* Model investment options using NPV tool
* Apply appropriate sensitivities to the model based on the specifics of the investment
* Support the investment paper process by performing basic checks on financial inputs
* Assist with analysis and information gathering associated with broader investment decision support team goals
