Description
Our client is currently seeking a support Actuarial Function, to join their team on a part time basis (Approx. 10 days per month) for 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension. Our client is based in the gorgeous city of Brussels, Belgium, and is a large player in the Insurance industry.For the actuarial function, we are currently seeking temporary support, in particular for product advice (including profit testing), and the recurrent annual advice. Responsibility for the actuarial function (authority to sign) remains in-house.
To be considered for this role:
You must be able to speak a good level of French AND Dutch.
You must have a master's degree in actuarial science and an experience of approx. 5 years in the profession of actuary life/non-life.
You will be an independent and reliable team player, with clear communication of study results, oral as well as written.
You will have an open and analytical mind.
You will have 4+ experience in actuarial activities and relevant experience in Life and Health business. A strong technical background is preferable.
4+ years in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
4+ years Quantitative and financial analyses of the risk/return profile of the company and products (profit testing)
Role:
You will provide technical support by carrying out actuarial-financial analysis and other quantitative studies for the performance of the Actuarial Function and as regards insurance risk management within our client in general (reserving, tariff and reinsurance risk in general and for the performance of the Actuarial Function in particular).
You will contribute to the establishment of the reports of the Actuarial Function intended for the management. For this purpose, you critically analyse the impact of product developments depending on the risk/return standards within our clients company. You also contribute to the reports in relation to the adequacy of the provisions, profitability, profit sharing and reinsurance.
