SUMMARY
Real Staffing are looking for a proactive Fixed Asset Financial Accountant who is keen to join a challenging Housing Association with ambitious development plans.
You will be supporting the Director of Finance during the demanding year-end period and play a vital role in mentoring a vibrant team as they transition to the latest FRS102 standards.
To be considered for this position, it is essential that candidates have a practical understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting within the Social Housing Sector and the availability to start work at short notice.
KEY DUTIES
- Supervision of a junior Financial Accountant
- Supporting the month-end accounts closure
- Applying the relevant FRS year-end changes
- Updating financial statements and preparing reporting packs
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
- Liaising with auditors as they agree new balances
- Providing financial advice and support to ad-hoc projects
- Reporting to the senior management team and stakeholders
KEY SKILLS
- Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- Fixed Asset Accounting within a Social Housing Provider
- Knowledge of FRS102 policies and procedures
