DESCRIPTION:
Seeking a seasoned infrastructure project manager to manage multiple concurrent infrastructure projects in a Matrix environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working closely with multiple vendors (IBM and HP) with various lines of business
- Managing project teams with technical and functional members
- Managing day to day technical progress of the project
- Managing project budget
- Project delivery presentation
- Client relationship management
- Motivating team members
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience as a project or technical lead-manager
- 7+ years of infrastructure project experience
- Wholesale banking experience (provision of services to Mortgage Brokers, large corporate clients, mid-sized companies, real estate developers and investors, international trade finance businesses, institutional customers such as pension funds and government agencies)
- Strong knowledge of IT Security
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture
- Proven experience with managing project budget and financials
- Experience with managing mid-size to large enterprise projects
- PMP Certification
- ITIL Certification an asset
- Familiar with all the project management disciplines and ideally the structure of a PMO
- Experience in managing multiple projects using project management methodologies
- Used to managing politics, very astute-effective in change management with clients
- Previous hands-on technical infrastructure experience
- Successful track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
- Strong presentation skills to all levels of management including executive level
- Enthusiastic excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- MCITP or MCSE certification is an asset
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with key industry partners' products such as HP, IBM, Cisco, SAN, VMWare and Microsoft
- VoIP and Telecom carrier experience an asset
- Strong vendor management experience such as with IBM and HP
- Detail and administrative oriented
- Flexible to work extended hours as required
- MS Project, Clarity or PlanView experience
