Description

Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. You will be reporting to the Procurement Manager and will be responsible for leading and supporting the organisation's Strategic Procurement Support Team. This role will assist in the setting up and establishment of a Strategic Support Team in line with Organisational Transformation via the delivery of a Procurement Improvement Plan.

You will be responsible for:

. Working with key stakeholders to support and develop the organisation's procurement strategy
. Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and the overall procurement process
. Providing leadership and guidance to the Procurement Support Team
. Deputise for the Procurement Manager when necessary
. Ensuring the continuous improvement of service delivery

Essentials skills:

. Excellent experience in a corporate procurement role
. Team leadership and management skills/experience
. Stakeholder management skills
. Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply
