Quality And Patient Safety Support Manager

I am currently working with a NHS organisation based in the South West of England on urgent interim requirement that has arisen within their team. They are looking to get someone up until September next year. The role will involve the following:
  • Supporting the Quality and Patient Safety Manager in developing robust clinical systems and processes on behalf of CCG, their healthcare providers, other colleagues, specialist commissioners and other agencies to facilitate innovation and improved the quality of healthcare services
  • To support the Quality and Patient Safety Manager in implementing new quality assurance frameworks and agreements, for commissioned and tendered services, regular monitoring of the quality of commissioned services.
  • To help facilitate innovation and improve the quality of healthcare services.
  • To support the CCG in resolving quality issues and incidents raised by GPs.
  • To support the provision of quality assurance and patient safety information required, helping to ensure systems demonstrate robust reporting and accountability arrangements


Responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Quality and Patient Safety Team in providing high quality support to CCG.
  • Supporting the development/maintenance of an effective communication network within the Quality and Patient Safety Team
  • Assisting the Quality and Patient Safety Manager when leading on investigations into SIs and compiling Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
  • Delivery Director Reports
  • Monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly meetings.
  • Evidence of quality monitoring processes
