Release ManagerOur client, a global leading telecommunication company are recruiting for a Release Manager to join their business in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge of Release Management and its role in the IT Development life cycle
- Experience in managing releases end to end starting at requirement inception, all the way till rollout
- Taking ownership for own work, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team
- Monitoring and enforcement of the established release management processes and policies
- Working closely with the Project managers and third parties to ensure that release exit quality gate criteria is met
- Coordinating and following-up of pre-release, release and test activities
- Maintenance and publishing of Release metrics in addition to reports spanning across multiple stages in the release
Qualifications:
- A background in the TV and/or Telecom domain is preferable
- Experience in working in an onshore-offshore environment with multiple stakeholders, vendors.
- Experience in managing multiple releases in parallel
- Prepare and publish Experience in configuration & change management processes as per ITIL standards
- Ability to effectively manage the defects, keeping a close control on defect dashboards and risks to the release
- Experience in using Defect/user story management in JIRA and any other project management tools like rally or TargetProcess
- Ability to own and manage risks, issues and dependencies, both internally and externally to ensure the impacts to release deployments is maintained at minimum or none
- Project Management experience desired, but not essential
- ITIL, Prince 2 certification desired, but not essential
