A Financial Management lead with experience in the Public Sector and strong experience managing a large budget role based in Croydon, occasional travel to London, Hendon & Liverpool
Key skills required for the Financial Management Lead -Public Sector
- Pro-active management of the Live Services budget, on behalf of the Director of Live Services, providing regular and accurate reports to support the review and management of expenditure and forecasts against budget profile.
- Acts as the link into Corporate Finance and Commercial Directorates, working collaboratively and on behalf of Live Services to support Spending Reviews and other financial objectives and budget setting rounds, ensuring that there is adequate funding for Live Services.
- Assisting Live Services governance boards to monitor financial performance of services and products as well as Live Services as a business operation.
- Operation of internal Live Services governance and control processes to ensure that responsibilities for budget, financial and asset management are clearly set out and understood across Live Services teams, and that all data and reports issued are accurate and timely.
- Responsible for financial management operating processes and controls across Live Services, ensuring they are understood and Embedded across the Live Services teams and adhere to all financial compliance and audit requirements.
- Identifies financial trends and cost drivers and works collaboratively with the relevant Live Services leads to appropriately manage and report on these.
- Supports and manages the day to day agreed recharging mechanisms for services provided to the business.
- Supporting the development of finance skills within Live Services, providing advice and guidance.
- Previous experience in a Financial Management Lead role, managing a large budget.
- Any Financial Management vocational qualification
