Description
An Occupational Health & Safety Co-ordinator required to join a global pharmaceutical company located in Dublin for a 10-12 months ideally starting January 2016.Reporting to the Safety Manager, the role will be responsible for a broad range of safety management activities including, Industrial Hygiene Monitoring, Manual Handling & Ergonomics, Asbestos and Legionella Control, Hearing Conservation, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Chemical Risk Assessment and Hazard communication programme.
Support provided to the above programmes via the delivery of Training, Auditing, Documentation Review, Incident Investigation and for being involved in tracking occupational and safety objectives via the Safety Council.
Requirements:
* The ideal candidate will have a recognized Safety Qualification (with specific qualifications in Industrial Hygiene Monitoring & Sampling) and with a minimum of 5 years previous experience as a Safety Officer, managing cross functionally in an industrial setting.
* In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills, Matrix management and leadership skills.
