Your top priority as a DevOps Engineer will be to ensure that all our services are operational (http://status.auth0.com/) and that our platform is solid and flexible enough to accompany our user base exponential growth. You will set up test environments and deploy new features that developers love. If you have solid systems, operations, and automation skills, and you are motivated by providing a great level of service to thousands of developers around the world who trust Auth0 every day, this job is for you.

The position location is remote and we prefer candidates in the PST time zone. If you are located in Buenos Aires, AR., you will have the chance to work side by side with our Engineering teams in our offices in Palermo.

Your responsibilities:
  • Optimize and support our always-available cloud-based SaaS platform in accordance to our SLA (https://auth0.com/docs/sla)
  • Help us build our v-Next infrastructure based on micro-services
  • Implement innovative monitoring mechanisms to detect, prevent, and reduce downtime in our platform
  • Facilitate and support application deployments, upgrades, and patches
  • Develop tools and automation to rapidly deploy services and solve repetitive tasks
  • Build and manage development and testing environments, assist developers in debugging complex scenarios
  • Ensure our platform is secure and that our users' information is safe
  • Communicate to the company and the world the operational status of our services and progress done in our infrastructure


  • Skills & Requirements

    We are looking for people who:
  • Have real-world experience designing, implementing and/or maintaining large SaaS infrastructures
  • Get excited about complex infrastructure scenarios and highly-scalable architectures (http://highscalability.com/blog/2014/12/1/auth0-architecture-running-in-multiple-cloud-providers-and-r.html), with hundreds of VMs, that work over time
  • Are familiar with technologies such as AWS, Node.JS, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Puppet, Kibana, CoreOS, Docker, etc
  • Are seasoned configuration managers and have solid technical background in systems, operations, monitoring, scaling, data administration, and automation
  • May have depth in a particular technology but we prefer curious, self-motivated, fast-learners that can deal with challenges no matter the technology
  • Want to work in an environment where proactivity, flexibility, taking ownership, and frequent delivery is the norm
  • Love to contribute to open source projects, such as limitd (https://github.com/auth0/limitd), cxn (https://github.com/auth0/cxn), node-baas (https://github.com/auth0/node-baas)
  • Have a native vocation for service, are great team players even when remote, and like to interact with different teams
  • Have 3+ years of professional experience
  • Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills
