Position - Commercial Manager/Project Support/Executive Assistant
Location - Derby
6 months rolling contract
A client of mine is looking for experienced commercial contract negotiators to support the Purchasing teams to negotiate and execute contracts with aerospace suppliers.
The position reports to the Commercial Executive, Aerospace Supply Chain and will take day to day direction from nominated Commercial Managers in the relevant Supply Chain Units (SCUs), as appropriate.

Task/Responsibilities
The main tasks of the Commercial Manager will be to:
Provide hands-on, specialist commercial support to the Global Commodity Leads in negotiations with suppliers.
Undertake contract drafting changes (turn documents) and draft complex clauses as may be required.
Produce negotiation notes and minutes.
Commercially review and approve contracts prior to signature.
Drive contract signature.
Attend Global Sourcing Boards on behalf of the Purchasing Commercial function.
Complete internal monitors (such as the contract evaluation tool).
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification, plus relevant and suitable experience (minimum 5 years).
A demonstrated strong commercial aptitude.
The ability to deal with complex commercial issues and analyse and interpret contractual wording with a good attention to detail.
Proven working experience of closing out complex contract negotiations.
Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders and good financial/numeracy skills.
The ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and deadlines under pressure.
Candidates should have a strong desire to enhance contract drafting and negotiation/business relationship skills, and be capable of working under their own initiative.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism when dealing with R-R's external supply chain.
