Description

My client, one of the world's preeminent asset management firms and a premier provider of global investment management, risk management and advisory services, is currently looking for a Risk Analyst for an initial 11 month contract. The role will sit in the Client Reporting Services team and is responsible for 'First Line of Defence' Operational Risk Management.

This position will require the role holder to manage operational risk exposure across the areas of People, Process, Technology, External, Regulatory and Conduct Risk using risk management framework standards. In addition, the role holder will be required to contribute to Regulatory change projects - providing expert input in assessing client regulatory reporting requirements and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Regional Business Manager to refine EMEA Client Reporting specific Risk Management Framework (RMF) ensuring alignment with Group and Regional Policy as per Compliance, Operational Risk and RQA guidelines.
  • Maintain Key Risk Indicators and associated Management Information/Reporting
  • Analyse functional performance (using detective & predictive analysis techniques) to identify areas of risk exposure; and work with all areas to mitigate and eradicate risks to Client and Firm (ie Operational/Financial/Regulatory/Reputational/Conduct)
  • Provide ownership and quality assurance of key risk documentation within the department, including (but not restricted to); Risk & Control Self-Assessment/Business Continuity Plan/Operating Event documentation/Root Cause Analysis (and remedial action plans)
  • Advance a globally aligned Risk Management model in partnership with other CR regions. Also act as the point of contact for regional team in support of global Risk Management effort; build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert levels of analysis for Regulatory Reporting

Experience Required

  • Demonstrable experience in developing risk frameworks and standards, with the ability to apply appropriate internal process review. Evolving such processes where required in order to satisfy both internal audit scrutiny and risk appetites
  • Strong knowledge and experience of European regulations and regulatory bodies
  • Strong business analysis skills with experience of applying these in a regulatory environment
  • Process driven, analytical and risk averse approach to delivery
  • Ability to understand and analyze complex issues, draw conclusions and articulate/execute a strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, with or without technical knowledge or direct authority
  • Exceptional attention to detail
