Description
A European Offshore Wind Operator is looking for 1 Head Storeman and 1 Storeman for an initial 12 months initially plus extensions. These individuals will be on a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off shift pattern, whilst on rotation the shift will be 12hour/day and 7days/week.Due to the shift pattern, these roles would be best suited to local persons, who are prepared to accept a permanent role with Operations and Maintenance team (O&M) after the construction phase on this offshore wind farm project in 2018.
Responsibilities:
- Management of site stores (PPE, COSHH, rigging loft etc) and delivery activities in the project construction base on the Port
- Maintain a robust Goods in/Out Procedure for the accurate tracking of tools, equipment and materials
- Initially assisting the site team with preparation of personnel for offshore transfer (checking documentation & PPE and registering training) and management of the project pontoons
- Arrange for crane operations as required for stores loading/unloading activities
- Arrange shipments of any materials from site and be the onsite contact for receiving goods
- Issue all relevant PPE for the site and update register
- Periodic monitoring of the car park
- Supervision of site visitors (access control, inductions, visitors register etc.)
- Perform site safety inductions
- Monitor adherence to site rules
- Ensure walkways and site are kept clear of trip hazards
- Manage access keys and access controls and maintain a key Register
- Manage & maintain the lifting equipment & lifting equipment certification register and complete ad-hoc visual inspections of lifting equipment in line with LOLER requirements
- Communicate LOLER re-certification requirements and identification
- Maintain Site vehicles, equipment and tools. Arranging servicing as required
- Lock and unlock site every AM/PM
- Manage site waste facilities and record all waste transfer notes
- Assist with loading and offloading of vessel and road vehicle deliveries
- Local individuals would be preferable due to the shift pattern
- Good IT proficiency in MS Office type programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Driving License and own transport required
- Own laptop would be advantageous
- Current fork lift certification is required
- Certified Rigger and banksman
- Additional training/certification for manual handling, COSHH and use of small onshore plant would be advantageous (small static cranes, davit winches, etc.)
- Offshore PPE recertification training would be advantageous
