Description

Seeking an EHR implementation Project Manager for a leading provider of information management solutions to the healthcare industry. The Project Manager is responsible for management of the entire life cycle of the implementation for assigned client projects and act as the primary client liaison to lead customer facing EHR implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly understanding the customer's business and technical needs
  • Acting as primary interface to client business units during all phases of the project
  • Perform project kick-off meetings with customers and delivery resources
  • Identify scope, create project plan, manage, monitor and control multiple externally facing customer implementations.
  • Manage the project budget, team resources, communications, and project plans.
  • Ensure that customers successfully migrate to the solution in the most optimal way, with an effective transition to support upon project close.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, problems and recommended solutions to the customer
  • Identify and resolve risks and issues in a timely manner. Escalate concerns to the project team and senior management when appropriate.
  • Report on deployments, schedules, budgets and revenue.
  • Foster continued growth of the team's project management capabilities,
  • Successfully manages several competing priorities.
  • Creating project plan, identifying scope, goals, deliverables, timelines and required resources
  • Managing the day-to-day implementation of operational project aspects, defining project tasks and resource allocation
  • Supporting customers in migration from current to future state in the most optimal way
  • Updating and tracking project timelines and deliverables
  • Providing direction and support to the implementation team and reviewing deliverables prepared by the team Managing project issues and dependencies
  • May be required to work with the applicable Sales, Clinical, and Technical teams in the pre-sales phase to determine the best solution for a particular customer to assure the feasibility of the technical solution and how it will meet customer expectations.

Required Experience

  • 4 year degree in relevant field, or equivalent post-secondary education or work experience
  • 5 years exp with Project Management Implementation- Preferred is previous experience with enterprise healthcare systems such as EHR, EMR, etc (will consider EREP, CRM implementations experience)
  • Knowledge and experience in Project Management and IT Integration within a Healthcare Environment preferred
  • Scrum experience
  • Strong leadership and relationship building capabilities, with ability to negotiate with and influence others to drive successful project outcomes
  • Apply all standard project management methodology processes, tools, and documentation throughout the project life cycle as aligned to the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • PMI a plus
  • Drives all aspects of project management activity, including collaborating and coordinating across the organization and ensuring the following:
  • Changes that affect scope, schedule and resources are identified, managed and controlled with an integrated and cohesive planScope is defined, approved, managed, controlled; ensuring completed deliverables are accepted by the customer
  • Schedule is developed and managed to on-time delivery
  • Costs are estimated and managed to deliver project within customer approved budget, while preserving profit margins
  • Resources are assigned and managed effectively and efficiently
  • Risks and issues are proactively identified and managed
  • High quality is planned and delivered on the project, meeting all agreed upon requirements and ensuring high customer satisfaction through the management of the overall customer experience
  • Communications are planned and conducted during the project to ensure stakeholders are involved, expectations are accurately set, managed, and key stakeholders receive adequate communications throughout the project life cycle and this includes customer and third party providers.
  • Great attitude and work ethic
  • Publish regular project status reports.
  • Proactively manage program risks and issues.
  • 5+ years in experience in project/program management
  • Knowledge of Rational Unified Process (RUP)
  • Experienced in the implementation of PMI standards
  • Experienced with standard SDLC and project management tools (ie, MS Project, MS Office, Requirements Management and Change Management tools - Requisite Pro, Caliber, ClearQuest, StarTeam, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • An attention to detail and a passion to achieve quality outcomes
  • Self starter with the ability to take on new challenges
  • Quick learner with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to self manage, and monitor and track key performance indicators
