CommVault Storage and Backup Specialist
CommVault Storage and Backup Specialist required for a project with a leading bank in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The main responsibilities of the storage and backup specialist are:
- Maintain the operation environment within the relevant operational area(s).
- Actively suggest improvements and contribute the development of the relevant operational area(s)
- Generate and actively contribute to the implementation of optimization initiatives
- Plan and execute own tasks and participate in planning of team tasks
- Develop and update relevant infrastructure related documentation
- Train our junior backup/storage employee
Profile and qualifications:
You have an IT education and 3 years' experience with storage and backup operations at enterprise level. You have knowledge of the ITIL processes, and you are used to working according to enterprise level processes.
You have:
- Comprehensive technical knowledge within storage and backup solutions (hardware and software)
- Strong analytic ability (eg when solving incidents and problems)
- Know-how and a hands-on approach when working with infrastructure components.
- Strong inter-personal skills
- Strong communication skills
It is expected that you have experience with:
- Implementing and integrating storage and backup solutions with all aspects of network and operational architecture and infrastructure.
- Reviewing and evaluating storage and backup platforms and technologies including firmware, hardware, file system/software (providing recommendations)
- Identifying and defining performance characteristics and attributes of storage and backup systems (support capacity planning)
- Performing ongoing monitoring and maintenance of storage and backup volumes
- Troubleshooting storage and/or backup related issues
- Networked/shared storage management, host-client configuration and management and with RAID configuration and management
- Server systems, storage arrays, fabric configurations, SAN and NAS technology (eg NetApp, Hitachi, SCSI and Fibre Channel)
- Backup systems (especially Commvault)
Experience from the financial sector and knowledge of the related compliance requirements (eg PCI) are an advantage but not a prerequisite.
English is the only required language for this role.
