An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced WGA Supporter (Whole Of Government Accounts) to work within Central Government. This position will be based in London initially for 7 months at £344 per day LTD Company.

Job Description
This post has responsibility for assisting with the production and delivery of the Departments Whole of Government Accounts input (WGA) WGA is particularly complex and requires a firm understanding of departmental systems and accounting concepts as they apply both in the Department and in entities beyond the Department with which DfT has relationships. This role has a particularly high profile with external and internal review. Establish relationships with a range of stakeholders to support delivery of business outcomes.

Key Tasks and Deliverables
: Accurately complete the process to agree balances and transactions with other Government organisations by the end of May.
: By the end of July prepare the DfT WGA submission. Work through the management checklist provided by HMT and ensure that each item is fully supported with appropriate evidence.
: Complete all remaining tasks identified by HMT following the audit of the central Government submission. Including agreeing transactions and balances with other government bodies.
: Complete an exercise at the 9 month and year end stages to agree balances and transactions with other Government organisations.
: Assist other entities in the DfT family who have a WGA reporting requirement by uploading their data into COINS.
: Act as liaison between NAO and the Department on all issues relating to the WGA audit.
: Complete all remaining tasks identified by the HMT following the audit of the central Government submission.
: Identify a range of relevant and credible information sources and recognise the need to collect new data when necessary from internal and external sources.
: Explore different options outlining costs, benefits, risks and potential responses to each.
: Recognise scope of own authority for decision making and empower team members to make decisions.

Desirable
: Full qualified accountant.
: SAP experience/knowledge.
