My client, a leading domestic Bank, has a new opening for an Investment Fund Tax Managr within their central Finance function. The ideal candidate will have a combination of Operational Tax experience, SORP and FACTA exposure within a Financial Services environment. Project management experience is essential. This is a high profile role that will be central to the teams' success.
Role requirements
- Must have in-depth knowledge of how the Regulated Funds market works
- An understanding of both UK and overseas tax implications at fund/investment level including tax considerations for scheme of reconstructions, mergers or closures
- Consideration of Investor level taxation
- Knowledge of specific requirements in relation to investments in non standard markets
- Awareness of Operational Tax industry developments in respect of Investment Managers
- Experience or awareness of reporting taxes FATCA; CRS; FTT
- Ability to understand and apply Double Tax Treaties
- Analytical with the ability to access large volumes of data and focus on key areas
- General understanding of the UK Tax legislation and SORP applicable to UK Authorised Investment Funds
- Awareness of EU regulatory developments and global tax changes; technical knowledge on key tax cases Fokus + GLO
- An understanding of project methodology and processes
Other requirements
- Professional qualification and/or relevant experience within either a professional services firm or industry
- Experience with using Investment accounting systems within the Asset Management Industry
- Experience or exposure to tax software such as Alphatax and/or OneSource
- An interest in learning and developing tax awareness and knowledge
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
