Economist - Change - TOM - Datamodelling - Analytic tools - Business Plans - Sampling - Statistical Data
My well known government body client is seeking an Economist to work on the development and implementation of a Target Operating Model (TOM). The Change Programme is now seeking to recruit an experienced Economist who is able to quantify these pieces of work by using various modelling and analytical methods/tools.
Responsibilites:
- Using existing data and information (mostly qualitative) and translating it into quantitative data and information that can be used to make informed business decision
- Develop methods and procedures to obtain data throughout the life of the programme
- Develop an effective approach for benefits realisation, that includes appropriate measurement
- Select appropriate sampling techniques to conduct different surveys
- Propose use of econometric modelling techniques to prepare forecasts
- Analyse data to test the effectiveness of current policies, products or services
Key Skills and Experience:
- Business/Economics Degree (with a strong background in mathematics, statistics and calculus)
- Experience in supporting organisations to develop Business Plans and define measures to assess benefits realisation
- Ability to use a variety of modelling and analytical methods/tools to provide statistical data to quantify business benefits
- Extensive experience of quantifying the current performance levels of an organisation and identifying method and processes to provide on-going measurement of the benefits to inform senior management business planning
- Demonstrable experience of delivering Business Plans in a complex environment
