6 month fixed term contractUp to £58,000 total package Our client is a leading financial services company based in Edinburgh. If you have financial reporting experience and are a strong team player, there is an opportunity to join the team as FinRep Review and Challenge Manager. In this varied and challenging role youll be working on a new reporting framework, shaping and developing practices to deliver relevant and high quality financial data. Youll really drive the change within the department and have the opportunity to develop your technical skillset by working alongside technical and systems accountants. This is a 6 month fixed term contract with potential to extend. Responsibilities:Pivotal to the establishment and development of the newly created FinRep Review and Challenge team, youll be at the forefront of change delivery through the improvement of operational and data quality initiatives. By collating, reviewing and challenging financial data, youll support the changes in the reporting requirements to deliver effective and efficient change improvements. As such, youll initiate and review working practices for the collation and analysis of data, providing support to a team to execute these processes. Your role will vary on a day to day basis. Youll be working with divisional submitters to ensure they provide feedback on submission and preparation each quarter, as well as answering regulatory queries and undertaking testing on disclosure information. During quarterly processing youll interact daily with the Reporting team and collaborate with teams to work on areas of FinRep. Youll be accountable for creating reporting systems and structures to meet new reporting obligations. About You:*Qualified Accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) *Experience in Financial Services is preferable*Exceptional financial reporting and statutory knowledge.*Youll also have an understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). *It is crucial that youre a strong team player as youll be working with stakeholders across the function to drive change and the implement new processes.*Demonstrating highly nuanced communication skills, youll be confident challenging and negotiating with stakeholders of varying seniority.
