SOLUTION ARCHITECT/BRUSSELS/NATO/MILITARY/DEFENCE/6 months/IMMEDIATE START/SC CLEARED

RATE: € p/d

LOCATION: Brussels

DURATION: 6 months Initially

Essential experience:

* Experience of developing complex system-of-systems architectures;
* Experience of architecture frameworks/methodologies such as TOGAF and the development of architecture views as described in MODAF/DODAF/NAF;
* Experience of developing and establishing maintainable traceability between user requirements, architectures, system requirements, and test;
* Experience working independently or supervising a staff of personnel;
* The incumbent should possess the personal qualities of tact, judgement and adaptability as well as good political awareness and motivational and listening skills. In addition, a sense of diplomacy and propriety in order to work harmoniously with colleagues and other staff, both civilian and military, from NATO and the NATO nations, as well as with staff from private scientific/industrial organizations is needed;

Desirable experience:

* Knowledge or experience of Command and Control systems, particularly those related to the NATO BMD architecture (ACCS, Bi-SC AIS) or National equivalents;
* Experience in the interoperability standards used in the NATO BMD architecture (Link16/JREAP, ADatP-3, APP11C);
* Expertise and knowledge of the IBM DOORS and System Architect toolsets and the integration between them;
* Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
* Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.

Duties/role

* Support the development of architecture processes and tool support for developing and documenting the BMD architecture;
* Support the establishment of standard and non-standard reports as required to produce views of the data within the architecture repository;
* Support the development of the high-level architectures for the future NATO BMD increments;
* Assist in establishing the BMD Information Exchange Requirements (IERs) and mapping into the standards to support the information exchange;
* Support identification of the existing standards as used by implementation projects (ACCS, Bi-SC AIS) and migration paths for the future BMD systems;
