Description

We are currently working with a Global Pharmaceutical organisation who is looking for an Ergonomist and Industrial Hygienist to join their team for a 12 month contract.

Your core responsibility will be to co-ordinate, conduct and implement all Ergonomics and IH programmes to relevant Value streams, Depts. and other related functions.

You will also be expected to co-ordinate and implement Ergonomics and IH Management Systems, Software Tools, training, PPE, RPE and any other additional requirements or documentation pertaining to relevant EHS requirements

The role is heavily 'Ergonomics' related with 100's of machines and tasks on site typical of medical device industry with some manual activities etc. There are also chemicals used on site.

Main Duties & Responsibilities;

- Participate and provide support to the site to achieve proactive, robust and compliant Ergonomics and IH programmes to industry best practice.

- Ensure compliance with ISO and MAARS (EHS audit) requirements and Corporate EHS requirements ensuring all documentation is up to date and audit ready. Identify new Ergonomics and IH programmes as required.

- Manage Ergonomics and IH meetings and reviews across Depts.

- Industrial Hygiene monitoring, chemical risk assessments.

- Tool and machinery risk assessment at all levels.

- Noise and vibration surveys

- Start-up reviews and approvals of new processes and equipment

- Ergonomics and IH Incident Reporting and Investigation

- Facilitate closure of all Ergonomics and IH corrective actions, NC's

- Support wider EHS initiatives as suitable e.g. safety risk assessments, training EHS promotions etc. Advise Engineering on engineering solutions to ergo. challenges

- Report out regularly to management and teams on KPIs in line with annual objectives and targets (planned vs. actual Ergo and IH performance).

Ideally you will have a third level qualification or Diploma in Health and Safety ( Qualifications from British Institute of Occupational Hygienists (BIOH) and Qualifications & certificates in Vibration Monitoring, Respirator Fit Testing etc. will also be considered.
