Financial Controller is required for a contract position in Bristol.
Sopra Steria Recruitment, working in partnership with Major public-sector clients in UK we are recruiting Financial Controller for 6 months contract for our public sector client.
This role will require candidates with a proven Experience and responsible for:
To lead on preparation of in year monthly forecast data and budget variance explanations.
Review, challenge and consolidate project forecasts before submission.
Provide advice and guidance to the finance team on scrutiny and investment appraisals per MOD policy
Assist and advise on preparation of investment Appraisals and business cases and monitoring financial assurance, and keeping to the timetable.
Advise on and assist with preparation of financial data for major business case submissions (check, review and challenge)
Manage the finance team of accounts assistants and accountants; approve material transactions (journals)
Support (and deputise for if required) the finance lead in the area Collate and update quarterly costings for planning purposes (10 year plan) and input into the long term plan Lead on preparation of audit evidence pack for yearend audit (AP09 and AP12)
