This finance manager position has come about in order to lead a team of reporting analyst to deliver accurate MI and analysis to fulfil regulatory reporting commitments to external, regulatory and supervisory bodies.

RATE: £300 - £350
CONTRACT: 6 months
Responsibilities
- Deliver all regulatory and statutory MI to the FCA and other external bodies (including HMT, HFF, BoE and CML) for retail assets held by relevant legal entities within defined timescales, using a legally compliant process and minimising errors/exceptions.
- Manage sign off process for regulatory reporting outputs, to ensure supporting evidence, documentation and Executive review/sign off are completed within defined timescales.
- Take the lead in ensuring data assurance for reporting outputs, through 3rd party validation, reconciliation and/or attestation, SME input & insight, to provide independent verification of key data to ensure reporting can be relied upon.
- Manage and implement robust processes & controls aligned to short term business objectives that minimise operational risks.
- Act as subject matter expert for regulatory data definitions, providing input and guidance on any changes to reporting/definitions.
- Deliver ad hoc MI covering all aspects of mortgage business performance to support external reporting commitments and thematic analysis
- Lead and motivate a small team of reporting analysts to achieve their individual and collective performance targets and build their capability
Key Knowledge/Experience
- Good understanding of regulatory reporting framework, policy statements and legal instruments that impact upon and define statutory reporting requirements.
- Good understanding of LBG MI systems, data sources and lending platforms.
- Great team player and team coach, able to motivate and develop the team.
- Flexible can do, positive attitude.
- Knowledge of financial services, Mortgages industry, business processes and data.
