Description
Summary- This position is responsible for production scheduling and raw material procurement for products produced at a production facility Care Chemicals with the objective of providing the highest level of customer service at the least total cost.
- It requires collaboration with Customer Care, Production, Shipping, Logistics, Purchasing, and 3rd party suppliers, and Product Management.
- Responsible for building and maintaining the production schedule using SAP MRP, Planning Board, and SAP APO SNP processes to maximize capacity utilization, meet customer requirements, while managing financial impact.
- Partner with production to understand machine, process, and staffing issues to best align schedule to meet customer requirements at the lowest possible cost.
- Monitor customer orders and resolve issues with supply, availability, capacity and quality.
- Interface with Customer Care regarding available to promise and backorders
- Order bulk raw materials for all EM production at the site to support the production schedule and interface with site personnel on procurement of packaged raw materials.
- Manage inventory of finished goods and raw materials against target KPI's.
- Replenish distribution warehouses within the North American network.
- Manage master data to ensure correct planning output.
- Extend new articles, create BOM's and routings, packing instructions, etc.
- Participate in daily production and monthly S&OP meetings as appropriate.
- Prepare and present capacity data at S&OP meetings.
- Participate in demand validation meetings as appropriate.
- Work closely with supply chain, procurement, and plant personnel in other businesses/divisions to manage common products or other sourcing arrangements to ensure adequate supply.
- Complete all required department reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree preferred. BA/BS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred
- 2+ years experience in supply chain related field (Customer Care, Supply chain, Procurement, Operations, Production) with BA/BS degree
- 4+ years experience in supply chain related field (Customer Care, Supply chain, Procurement, Operations, Production) without BA/BS degree
- Working knowledge of Supply Chain Management concepts required
- Working knowledge SAP required
- Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
