Harvey Nash is seeking an experienced Investment Operations Analyst to join a large financial services client based in Edinburgh city centre on an initial 6-12 month contract. The role will be a busy and varied position working across Corporate Actions, Trade Processing and Data Management, with the support of an experienced team member.
Responsibilities:
. Perform and be responsible for corporate actions and income processing.
. Provide support to the Trade Support team with processing and start of day activities.
. Work closely with internal and external customers to resolves issues and deal with queries in an efficient and timely manner.
. Ensuring operating procedures are adhered to.
. Complete all critical daily and periodic tasks to maintain and sign off against controls.
. Actively contribute and participate in continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
. Maintaining a sound working relationship with external vendors and custodians; being able to evaluate their performance and provide constructive feedback.
Experience Required:
. Background in Asset Management, Fund Administration, or Custody.
. Excellent experience within Corporate Action and Income processing.
. Good understanding of corporate action national market practices.
. Experience with security trade processing would be a plus.
. Effective communication skills in all channels of interaction.
. Experience in relationship management and working closely with customers.
. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines.
. Ability to analyse problems, identify root cause and develop the appropriate solutions.
. Good IT skills (intermediate or above in Microsoft applications).
. User knowledge of Hiportfolio, TCS Bancs, SmartStream TPM, Bloomberg and custodian systems would be desirable.
