Description

Primary Activities:



- Manage a portfolio of projects in respect to costs of 5 to 10 projects ranging from a capital investement of €1 to €50 million.

- Interface and align with key Service Providers of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management capabilities, with Contracts ranging from €20,000 to €20 million

- Be able to understand the challenges which engineering teams are facing during the several engineering phases and related stage gates

- Monthly preparation of overall Project Cost Report (Including the Budgets, Commitments, Forecast, and Expenditures for all program cost elements)

- Support Project Manager in reviews and adherence to the CRC/CMC Contract and advise on contract break requirements

- Invoice Processing Support, as required

- Manage Project Financial Close Out in close co-operation with CAPEX leads and local Finance

- Support Project Procurement requirements related to Project Controls

- Supports the Project Team to determine and mitigate Risks by maintaining a risk & opportunities log per project

- On a monthly basis:



- Update the excel based Cost Report

- Breakout control budgets by disciplines funded

- Provide data to generate the the Project Portfolio Reporting System (PPRS) per project

- Review the cost report as a minimum with the Project Manager

- Include a triple curve (planned/actual/forecast) to show spending trend

- Update the finance system of reference to support reporting requirements                      



- Draft and facilitate to generate a Project Controls Execution Plan for projects above €5 million

- Act as a steward to support the Project Manager regarding change management

- Develop close working relationships with Projects Manager and Project Staff

- Develop talent in the areas of:



- Cost control tools

- Knowledge of functional cGMP requirements in Biological and Pharmaceutical operations

- Design For Lean and Lean Construction

- Capital Management Process



Skills

BA or BSC in Engineering, applicable scientific or business discipline required.  This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven cost control management excellence demonstrated over multiple assignments.  Knowledge of Pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing facilities and  plant operations are highly desirable.  Demonstrated leadership skills necessary to support a high performing group of technical professionals.

Familiar with MS Office
