Description
A leading bank, based in London / Edinburgh are currently in need of an Information Security Manager to execute across all aspects of the security assurance and compliance practices. The role will ensure strategic suppliers are reviewed to ensure they meet the client's policy and standards. This is a long term contract role paying a very competitive daily rate.Key Accountabilities:
Monitor compliance against the client's information security policy and strategy to ensure compliance with Group obligations
Maintain knowledge of changes in the external regulatory landscape and understand how this may impact the client
Plan and execute day to day Information control and monitoring activities
Support the delivery of the annual 3rd Party Security Assurance
Programme Provide SME Information Security support and guidance to business partners in easily understood business terms
Maintain oversight on all security related audits to ensure all deliverables and actions are closed within agreed timescales.
Seek continuous improvement in Information Security control monitoring, driving the production of targeted and exception based reporting
Key Capabilities, Skills and Experience:
At least 2 years of full-time work experience in information security management and / related functions (such as IT audit and IT Risk Management)
One or more certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, BCS Data Protection Practitioner preferred.
Experience of performing 3rd party supplier assurance and performing internal control testing
Absolutely trustworthy with high standards of personal integrity
Flexible self-starter, capable of working with a high degree of change and with fast changing and competing priorities
Excellent understanding of financial services regulatory and compliance requirements (FSA regulations, PCI-DSS, SOX, DPA etc.)
Up-to-date knowledge of cyber and information security trends and threats facing financial services
Previous experience working in the financial services industry
Familiar with data classification, disaster recovery and business continuity
Excellent verbal & written communication skills with good influencing skills
