Network Specialist
My client is currently hiring a Network Specialist (IDA) for their long term project. The right Network Specialist (IDA) will be required to start ASAP.
You will be working with the latest technologies and have the option of renewal at the end of the initial 3 to 6 month contract.
The Supply Agency of the organization consists of a development department, where they develop applications and services for the social domain and Operations department in which they provide the technical platform for these applications, manage and renew. In recent months, a Target Infrastructure Architecture (IDA) established, which should be realized in the next two years. The IDA has a roadmap that is realized under the direction of a program manager. IDA consists of new infrastructure and life cycle management of existing infrastructure.
Job Description:
The Realization IDA program consists of various infrastructure projects. The Network Specialist will be used simultaneously for several projects. It is intended that his/her knowledge of the Citrix NetScaler virtualization solution, networks and network devices, Firewalls, Routers, etc. with a high degree of autonomy hands-on can apply. The Network Specialist is expected that he/her thinks about to be performed and to achieve results, carried out installation work, goal-oriented problems are tackled and completed products over to management.
Documentation plays an important role in managing the name of the delivered products. The Network Specialist should prepare relevant documentation and updating them for the benefit of future management.
The work of the Network Specialist concern project work. The Network Specialist must be experienced in working within projects. Of the Network Specialist is a high degree of pro-activity and a high sense of responsibility expected.
Responsibilities:
* Critical thinking about solutions, to carry out activities and results to be achieved;
* Unlocking applications through Palo Alto and Citrix NetScaler;
* Installing and configuring Citrix NetScaler;
* Installing and configuring network components and connections;
* Performance measurement and resulting activities;
* Trouble shooten network components and connections;
* Documentation update and produce.
The right Network Specialist (IDA) will have the following:
* HBO/university working and thinking;
* Minimum 1 year experience as a project assistant;
* Experience with NetScaler (SDX/VPX);
* Experience with Firewalls, preferably Paloalto Networks, and Cisco ASA Fortigate;
* Sufficient knowledge and understanding of Windows and VMWare to consult specialists with Windows and VMWare possible solutions;
* CCNP certified;
* Able to document their knowledge in understandable language and to transfer his/her knowledge to others;
* High degree of independence, but also a good team player. It is expected that you think along with people from other disciplines (no tunnel vision);
* Proactive;
* Results oriented;
* Flexible, no 9 to 5 mentality;
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
The following are a plus:
* Experience with load balancers, such as F5 is an advantage;
* Experience with AAA solutions, ASA, Cisco ISE/ACS, RSA is an advantage;
* Experience with Infoblox is an advantage;
* Experience with Cisco Switches (3750, 6500) is a plus;
* Experience with virtual networking, preferably within VMware environments is a plus;
* Knowledge and experience in the social domain is a plus;
* Knowledge and experience working with architecture an advantage;
* Knowledge and experience working with Lean, Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
